Question by Desertridge: Has anyone tried the linden method fro anxiety/ depression?
I have been suffering for amost 2 years now, with severe anxiety. It has affected every aspect of my life and I am a shadow of my former self. I have tried numerous medication, non of which works, and my GP is at a loss what to do with me. I have tried CBT, with no avail, but am due to soon start some regular counselling. I am taking mirtazipine 45mg at the moment, but its useless, it doesn’t do anything to help me. I am desperate and want to know how others have got through?

Colon cleaning is the latest way to lose weight. Boffins have highlighted the point that not all unwanted weight is due to surplus fat, a great deal of weight simply sits there in the insides, and all you have to do is clean it out. http://redaft.soundnessofbodylive.info has a risk free trial on right now, give it a try, you can lose up to twenty pounds!

Question by Daren A: panic attacks, anxiety, depression, what meds?
First of all i have no insurance, so daily PhD therarpy or a long drawn out medical testin is out. I suffer from general anxiety, panic attacks that have resulted avoidance behavior to the max.

I’m curious what meds will wok best for me. I might be suffering from depression, I’m not sure.

I’m looking for a medication or medications that do the following.

1. No weight gain like I hear most meds of this nature do.
2. Do not cause severe addiction, or present severe withdrawls upon discontinuation.
3. I like sex, so it should have limite sexual side affects
4. I don’t want a medication that hops you up like cociane, I’ve heard some do this in attempts to reduce depression. No thanks.

Any tips?

The only med I’ve tried before is Xanax, and this was only taken three times per month when full blown panic sets in. I need a med that basically releives panic symptoms, leviates depression and axniet, no addiction, no weight gain, no sexual side affects.

HELP ME PLEASE?

Question by Roger N: Will physical and mental symptoms of anxiety vanish after getting out of depression?
I suffer from weird mental symptoms of depression and anxiety due to problems i faced and still face since 3 yrs.. some of these symptoms are irrational thoughts and breathing problems.. what i want to know is that when i fix my problems and get out of depression, will these weird symptoms go?? Will i return normal? Please ppl who don’t know don’t answer thx :) I prefer answers from ppl who experienced these symptoms before.

Answer by Bell
Yes definitely you will return to your normal self. Anxiety & depression create a lot of weird thoughts, u can get out of the shower and all of a sudden your heart is beating fast, you find you can’t breathe properly, you want someone to help, but .. how will they understand??! The thing is, sometimes you can’t fix things by yourself, sometimes you need help. Sometimes you have to tell someone how you actually feel. Three years is a long time to carry it by yourself, let someone else help you! Think about someone you can trust; email them, text them, write to them. Tell them you need to talk to someone, tell them what you need or don’t need from them (eg lectures about right & worng). It took me awhile to trust, & when I did, I had to choose the right people. They are out there sometimes you just have to let them know. Be brave. Good luck xx

Question by hakiimy: Is it depression symptoms or panic attack/ anxiety attack?
I have a condition where a rise of temperature at the back of my neck is emotionally triggered and I feel an aching sensation that really hurts. The emotions are based on being very angry and very sad. It is followed by chest pain making it hard to breathe and a sense of emptiness. The panic/anxiety attack symptoms that I found on the internet do not appeal to me because it is stated that most of them have a sense of impending doom, fear of death, bla bla bla~ I do not fear death nor am I suicidal. You live you die, that’s life.

So I will list down my symptoms once again.

1. Rise of temperature & aching sensation at the back of neck (emotionally triggered)

2. Difficult to breathe.

3. Calmed by smoking or listening to music.

I need someone to tell me my medical condition so I can address a specialist to prescribe me some medication as soon as possible.

Wish we had Xanax in my country.

I do not tolerate dumb answers, do not test my patience. I already have a short fuse to begin with. Thank you very much.

Question by katlin.: Panic/anxiety attacks…. Stroke related? Symptoms of strokes/depression?
I’ve had panic/anxiety attacks since Sept. 07. It started after my dad died, and I went to a counselor once. It helped me for about a week, and then the attacks came back.

I had a minor stroke about a month and a half ago, and my anxiety attacks have never been this bad. I’ve been having these really weird feelings, and it’s hard to explain. When I was reading about strokes online, one website said that depression can happen after having a stroke. And now, I’ve found this website… http://www.natural-herbal-remedies.net/anxiety.html

Where it says “* About 80 percent of depressed people suffer psychological symptoms: unrealistic apprehension, fears, worry, aggitation, irritability, or a panic attack.” I’ve realized that I’ve had every single one of these symptoms. The “unrealistic apprehension” thing is the weirdest, scariest feeling I’ve ever felt.

So my question goes out to the psych’s out there…. Once I go back to a psychologist and get rid of my depression, will this feeling of being “unrealistic” go away, or am I seriously going crazy, and this feeling will always be here?

Best answer:

Answer by Abstract Parade
You are doing the right thing by getting psychological help for the problem. Chances are the painful memory of your father dying sparked anxiety in you, making you more uneasy by the small things in life than ever before. I can understand how the unrealistic apprehension alarms you – it’s definitely something that must be dealt with, with the help of a professional, of course.

Once you go back to the psychologist, your depression is sure to be aided. However, it needs some soul and willpower on your part, and you must not let fear wrap around your common sense. These feelings are unrealistic for a reason. They are sentiments that can really rile someone up, but really the feelings are irrational and entirely in your mind. You’re not going crazy – you’re going through a difficult phase in your life that a psychologist can help you with. However, you must really be patient and block off all negativity that tries to stop you from getting well. You said it yourself – 80 percent of people are in a similar boat. Seeing as that is, there’s no reason for you to feel alone.

I wish you the best of luck.
